After the Phogats, These 3 ‘Dhaakad’ Sisters from Haryana Set an Example by Joining Indian Army!

Indian Army

Taking a pleasant break from being in the news as the state with the lowest sex ratio in the country, Haryana is now being lauded for being the state of successful women in recent times. After the Phogat sisters, whose inspiring story of becoming international wrestlers recently hit the silver screen with Dangal, three more sisters from Haryana have made the state proud by joining the Indian Army.

Residents of Kherka Gujjar village in Jhajjar, Haryana, Preeti and Deepti Deshwal, and their cousin Mamta have joined the Indian Army Medical Corps as lieutenants!

According to a report in Rajasthan Patrika, nobody in the family of Pratap Singh Deshwal has been a part of the Army till now. The three daughters of the house, however, dreamt of becoming army officers and their family supported them wholeheartedly.
Preeti and Deepti completed their schooling from Jyoti Prakash School, while Mamta went to Himalayan School. In 2012, the trio was selected in the Armed Forces Medical College but went to different campuses. Preeti was trained in Kolkata, Deepti in Mumbai, and Mamta went to Pune.

The three graduated this year and have been commissioned to different military hospitals across the country. Mamta will be stationed at Military hospital, Ranikhet, and Deepti will be stationed in Agra. Preeti will work for Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, Ooty.

The achievements of the three young lieutenants prove that if girls are given the right opportunities and support, they are no less than boys. The credit goes to the girls’ determination and their family’s support.

Some Amazing Facts Everyone Should Know

There are some basic things that everybody should know.
Science is important. It’s responsible for almost everything that we know about our world on a physical level. It is important to understand, however, that science is not a book full of facts. It is a process by which we figure things out about the world.

  • It is a myth that Food items fried in oil are unhealthy.
When food items fried in oil, at optimal temperature, for optimal period of time, is healthy and hygienic and safe for our diet. If you fry in the right oil and follow some guidelines carefully, fried foods can have a place in a healthy diet.
  • The brain works harder while we are asleep than during the day when we are awake.

Many people assume that sleep helps the brain rest, but our brains are actually busier during slumber. When we sleep and dream, our brains carry out important functions that they cannot perform while focusing on movement and conscious thought. During sleep, our brains process things we learned and emotions we felt during waking hours and saves them in our memory. That’s why sleep is so important to learning.
  • World Wide Web and internet are not the same

Although the World Wide Web is often referred to as the Internet, the two are not the same thing. The Internet is a huge network of networks that links computers together all over the world using a range of wires and wireless technologies. The World Wide Web is the collection of linked pages that are accessed using the Internet and a web browser.
  • Your cellphone won't kill you
Yes, it does emit radiation, but so do you. In fact, you emit more radiation than your cell phone.
  • Muscles can only pull and never push.
That is the contraction( pulling) of muscles is active while relaxation (pushing) is passive.
We see many people show of their biceps to prove their strength. Biceps can only flex the elbow joint. Equally strong triceps is needed for balanced elbow function. Triceps is used for extending the elbow joint. In fact triceps are more used than biceps.
  • Analog vs Digital

There are two types of signals that carry information – analog and digital signals. Digital information is binary. It’s 1s and 0s. The real world is analog. It’s all light waves, sound waves, etc. Converting analog information to digital involves some loss of information but it is worth it because digital data is easier to store.
  • Positions to consider while sleeping
Lying on our back with a pillow under the knee. This reduces, strain on spine. However people with asthma can skip this position as it may cause breathing difficulty at night.
Sleeping on our stomach. It is bad as the neck won't be straight causing stiffness in the morning and the spine doesn't get enough support.
While sleeping on our sides, sleep on your left, as it will improve digestive functions.

The first poster of Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi

Manikarnika poster: Kangana Ranaut is a fiery Queen of Jhansi

Kangana Ranaut and the team of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi launched the poster of the film on the banks on Ganga in Varanasi.

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut, who launched the first poster of her upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, has said she plans to venture into direction and added that it will be a comedy film.
Asked about the genre of the film, the Rangoon star said: “Comedy.”“I want to move on to the next phase which means that I will focus on my career as a filmmaker and if I act I will act in my film so ..After ‘Manikarnika’ I’m directing my film.”
Kangana is also makes her debut as a writer with Hansal Mehta’s film Simran. She also said, “Simran is such a cosy and intimate story of a character ...it’s a lot about her psyche just like Queen...it’s a lot about the linear graph of an individual...you can involve yourself in that. But for something like this (Manikarnika) you need to have screenwriter of Baahubali for that so V. Vijayendra Prasad sir and Prasoon sir are the right people for this film,” Kangana said.
“As much as I would love to be in a league like this but I think I need a couple of 10-20 years,” she added.
“I agree that I am rebellious but she (Rani Laxmi Bai) was a rebel with a cause that makes her a hero...I rebel because if my instincts want me too. So that makes me a badass. She’s a hero,” Kangana further said.

Laxmibai, whose maiden name was Manikarnika, was born in Varanasi in 1828 to a Brahmin family. This is why the makers decided to unveil the film’s first official poster in the city.
Kangana, who looked every inch the fiery queen on the film’s poster, hoped that people would love Manikarnika the way they have appreciated her previous roles.

We know why Kattappa killed Baahubali, but Baahubali 2 doesn't answer THESE questions

Ever since the release of Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015, fans have been restless. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, the burning question on everyone's minds was "Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?" and innumerable theories, jokes and memes did the rounds. The Baahubali team, who closely guarded the secret, were plagued by this question in every single interview and media interaction that they were a part of.
While the release of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, this mystery has been effectively solved by director SS Rajamouli. However, there were some questions in the audience's mind which the film did not address.
1. Who was Bhallaladeva's wife?
In Baahubali: The Beginning, we remember the scene where Mahendra Baahubali, with a single swish of his sword, sends Bhallaladeva's son Bhadra's head flying in the air. But we never see or hear of the wife of Rana Daggubati's character. Last year, there were reports that Shriya Saran had been roped in for the part, but she rubbished the rumours.
Given that the other women in the film (Sivagami, Devasena and Avanthika) are strong characters, it would have been interesting to see what Bhallaladeva's wife would have been like. Evil incarnate, like her husband? Or an antithesis? We will never know.
2. What is Avanthika's story?
We cannot forget the fierce warrior Avanthika of Baahubali: The Beginning. She has almost put on blinkers to protect herself from distraction from her one and only goal - to free the shackled Devasena. But, why is she so motivated to giving away her youth and if need be, life, to the cause?
One may argue that she is driven by the same love that the subjects of Mahishmati had for Amarendra Baahubali and Devasena, but that seems unlikely, as Baahubali was killed either before her birth or when she was only a baby. Is she from the Devasena's kingdom of Kuntala? Baahubali 2 has no answers for us.

3. Why do the people of Mahishmati meekly accept Bhallaladeva's tyranny without putting up a fight?
"If Amarendra Baahubali is killed, the people of Mahishmati will revolt. There will be war," a character says in Baahubali 2. It is no secret that the subjects of Mahishmati adore Baahubali. There is even a scene where they literally shake Bhallaladeva up (those who have seen the film will know). They are ready to take up arms and even kill for him.
But when Baahubali is killed and his wife Devasena is openly chained and tortured in public view, they are mute. In fact, as Baahubali: The Beginning showed, the tyrant king Bhallaladeva loots and tortures even the subjects, but no one even bats an eyelid in protest.
